Urgent appointments
Book on the day appointments are only available for emergencies.
Routine appointments
To request a routine appointment in the next 7 days:
- use our appointment request form, Monday to Friday. We will respond during opening times
- phone us
- Ardleigh Green Surgery – 01708 476455
- Gubbins Lane Surgery – 01708 346666
- visit the surgery and speak with a receptionist, Monday to Friday from 8am to 6pm
When you get in touch, we’ll ask what you need help with.
We will use the information you give us to choose the most suitable doctor, nurse or health professional to help you.
Your appointment
However you choose to contact us, we may offer you a consultation:
- by phone
- face to face at the surgery
- on a video call
- by text or email
Appointments by phone, video call or by text or email can be more flexible and often means you get help sooner.
Due to time constraints the doctors have only 10 minutes in which to discuss your presenting complaint.
Please help the doctor to use time efficiently and effectively. During an appointment, doctors will generally only deal with ONE problem. However, if you have more than one problem you may make a double appointment.
Cancelling or changing an appointment
If you cannot keep an appointment, please let us know so that another patient can make use of it.
To cancel your appointment:
- use your NHS account (through the NHS website or NHS App)
- phone us
- Ardleigh Green Surgery – 01708 476455

Enhanced Hub Access
Our patients have the ability to be seen by various different clinicians on evenings and weekends outside of our core surgery hours. The clinicians include doctors, nurses, advanced nurse practitioners (ANPs) and physiotherapists.
The Hubs are located at The Petersfield Surgery and Lynwood Medical Centre.
Patients can call the surgery, and our receptionists will book an appointment at one of the hubs for you. Alternatively patients can book appointments themselves via the link: Enhanced Hub Access.
Home visits
Home visit service is provided for patients who are housebound and are unable to attend the surgery. This also includes those who are undergoing palliative care and those whom travel by care, would cause significant deterioration in their medical condition.
